Mindfulness for Teens

It is tough being a teenager!

Many young people are struggling with emotional and mental health issues and this is a real problem for parents and society at large.

The statistics are worrying, with some reporting that 1 in 4 children show evidence of mental ill health.

As a mother of teenagers I wholly appreciate the challenges of raising teens, and the pressures young people experience these days.

How can Mindfulness help?

Mindfulness for Teens is a 6 week program aimed at 13 - 17 year olds who wish to improve their emotional wellbeing.

We provide a safe and relaxed space for teens to cultivate mindful awareness and self compassion. You will learn some life skills that will support you through life’s ups and downs.

What you will learn:

  • To accept yourself as you are
  • To be kind and compassionate to yourself
  • To become aware of the relationship between your body and your mind
  • To notice when you’re stressed and how the body tells you.
  • To become aware of your thoughts and feelings and how they can affect your behaviour
  • Some tools to help you respond skilfully when faced with difficult situations

If you are concerned about your child’s mental health please see your GP for further guidance. A list of symptoms to look out for can be found on the NHS Choices Website.
