This is essentially a one day retreat dedicated to nourishing your emotional wellbeing and replenishing your resources.
A day focused on self-care and learning how to put your own oxygen masks on first.
As clinicians we spend so much of our time caring for others and pay very little attention to our own wellbeing. In fact, most of us can often feel guilty when we do something solely for ourselves.
Self-care has become alien to us and sadly, this stems from the pathological ‘put your head down and get on with it’ culture that prevails within the profession.
The day will be underpinned by mindfulness principles and practices infused with moments of quietude for inward reflection.
Who can attend:
Please wear comfortable clothes as there will be some mindful yoga practices, and bring a yoga mat if you have one.
A vegetarian lunch.
Coffee and tea.
